Today's Godly Reminder - Psalm 139:14

You are God's Masterpiece, His wonderful and marvelous creation. As well all know, God is a perfect One. He has no flaws. Even his creation, everything He made is perfect, so you are. You are wonderful and marvelous, created by the Lord.

By God's wise designing, we are wonderfully made. Every part essential and in perfect balance laid. Every part of us is uniquely made. We are indeed made in His own perfect image. We are wonderfully made by the perfect God.

The Daily Grace - Champion Marksman

Matt Emmons, Olympic gold medalist in rifle shooting in 2004, was set to win another event at Athens. He had a commanding lead and hoped to make a direct bulls-eye on his last shot. But something went wrong - he hit the target, but he was aiming at the wrong one! That wrong focus dropped him to eighth place and cost him a medal.

In Paul's letter to the Philippians, he expressed the importance of focusing on the right target in our Christian life. "I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus", he said (3:14). Paul used the term "goal" in an illustration of an athlete running a race. Interestingly, the same word was also used of a target for shooting arrows. In both cases, the prospect of winning depends on being focused. For the believer that should be a lifetime pursuit of becoming more like our Savior Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:28-29; Gal. 5:22-23).

What is your focus today? Are you preoccupied with getting ahead and making life more comfortable? If you're a believer, the right target to shoot for is to become more like the Son of God (2 Cor. 3:18). Today make sure you are aiming at the right target! To make the most of your life, make God's goals your goals.

Today We Pray

Dear Lord, I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. Be merciful to me, my sin has grieved Your heart. And strengthen my resolve from evil to depart.

Do not leave me without a portion of the blessed eternity. Grant also that I may follow Thy Holy example, that I may submit to the authorities placed over me. Grant me the clean soul, the simplicity of heart that makes us worthy of Thy love.

Hold me in the palm of Your hand. I pray that You will mold me into what You want me to be. May I joyfully fill the role You have given to me and feel Your peace deep in my soul, today and always.

Amen

Todays Godly Reminder - John 20:29

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Better blessings are in store for those who believe without seeing. They will happy, spiritually secure, and favored by God. The people who have faith in God without seeing Him are the ones who are really blessed. That is how faith works, believing in God even if you are not seeing Him.

Do you have faith in God? Practice your faith by putting your full trust in the Lord. Trust Him that He can do it. He got your back.

The Daily Grace - Encourage and Help Each Other

When was the last time you encouraged or help a friend, or even a stranger? Were they grateful and thankful that you did this random act of kindness? As brothers and sisters in Christ, we must never get tired in building each other up. God instructed us in His Word in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 that we must encourage and help each other, just as we are already doing.

How can we be a help to others? Speak blessings. Speak words that will make them lead to Christ and experience His love and greatness unto us. Build them up, too. Do the things that will make them soar high and achieve. Help them from their problems and frustrations.

Many people today, even Christians, are discouraged and defeated. Some come disappointed about life. Our warm encouragement might be just what they need. This is a common blessing that all we can share. This is a basis for mutual guidance. We are responsible to each and everyone for encouragement and bolstering in faith, love, and hope. Other people need our support in being Christian, and we need theirs, too.

Today We Pray

Dear Lord, Your blessings every morning know no limit. Yet I often rush by not seeing them, I fear. Let me take a moment this and every morning, God, I pray, to remember all of them, and know that you are here.

Hold me in the palm of your hand. I pray that You will mold me into what you want me to be. May I joyfully fill the role you have given to me and feel your peace deep in my soul, today and always.

I bless and thank you for finding me, Lord. May I never more take a breath without a heart filled with your Spirit. This is all we ask, through Christ our Lord.

Amen

Today's Godly Reminder - 2 Corinthians 5:20

We are Christ's representatives here on earth. So, He made this appeal to us: be reconciled with Him. It means to make peace with Him. Let our hearts be one with Him.

We are here to speak in behalf of Christ. Ask Him to bless you with wise words to speak to the people about the Good News. God begs us to listen to His message. Come back to God no matter what happens.
