Today We Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, I give You thanks for my creation, preservation, and all the blessings of my life. Grant that this day I fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger. But that all my doings, being governed by Your will, may be righteous in Your sight.

Nail down my flesh with fear of You. And do not let not my heart be inclined to words or thoughts of evil, but pierce my soul with Your love. I confess my misdoings and show my gratitude to You.

Lord, please give me a heart of repentance to see myself as You do. Give me the grace to respond to Your merciful call for change. Thank You for encouraging me through Your Word to keep living for You.

Amen

Today's Godly Reminder - James 3:17

Receive God's wisdom today. God is not selfish to give you wisdom that comes from Him. In fact, He is the one who initiated to give us wisdom when we need it. He promised that if any of us need wisdom, we should ask God and it will be given to us. God is generous and won’t correct us for asking (James 1:5).

The wisdom that comes from God is first pure, morally and spiritually undefiled. Then, peace-loving, courteous and considerate. It is also gentle, reasonable and willing to listen. It is full of compassion and good fruits. It is unwavering, without self-righteous hypocrisy and self-serving guile. Ask and receive that wisdom today.

The Daily Grace - God Repairs Us

Early in the human story, sin entered the world (Gen. 3). Theologians refer to the event as "the fall". The inevitable result is brokenness. Life is painful because we keep getting hurt and hurting others with our sharp, jagged edges.

But, God doesn't want us to stay broken. And, His repair work turns our brokenness into beauty. Like a carpenter or any skilled workers, God repairs us. But, He uses something more precious than gold - the blood of His Son.

Instead of having veins of gold that holds the broken fragments together, we are united by the veins of Christ. "We have been united together in the likeness of His death" (Rom. 6:5). Nothing is more beautiful than that. The price of our freedom from sin was paid by Jesus' blood. We have already won the victory because of this. Praise be to God, forever!

Today We Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that this day, You will continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.

I pray for those that are lost and can’t find their way, also to the misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don’t know you intimately, for those who don’t believe in You that they may find you. I pray that others will find Your strength, so that they can love and help one another.

As I travel through the rest of my day, fill me with all joy and peace in believing. Let me abound in hope all the days of my life. In Christ's name, I come to you today.

Amen

Today's Godly Reminder - Romans 6:5

If we are permanently united in the likeness of His death, we will also certainly be one with Him and share fully in the likeness of His resurrection. Being one with God also unites us with others. We shall also be one with Him in sharing His resurrection by a new life lived for God. Have a new life in Christ today. Share His love. If we shared in Jesus' death by being baptized, we will be raised to life with him. Share the good news about Jesus. He died and rose again. We are united through this.

The Daily Grace - God Restores

God specializes in restoration like an artist.. In Paul's letter to the Christians at Colosse, he described a restoration process that is impossible in the world of art. It's a restoration of God's people. Paul wrote, "You have put off the old man with His deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created Him" (Col. 3:9-10).

This is no attempt at renovating the work of a certain artist. It is a spiritual renewal from the living God who created us and gave us new life in His Son, Jesus Christ. His forgiveness brightens the colors of our lives. While, His grace sharpens the lines of His purpose for us.

The canvas of our lives is in the skilled hands of our Lord, who knows who and what He designed us to be. No matter how sin-damaged and dirty we may be, there is hope for renewal and restoration. The Master Artist is alive and at work within us. Let God be the artist of your life.

Today We Pray

Dear God, who has commanded us to love one another without fail, purify my soul. Let Your Holy Spirit empower me throughout this day, to be obedient to the truth at every moment. So that, I might love my brothers and sisters earnestly, from a pure heart.

And, let me always remember that I have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable. If I am confused or do not know what to think or do, let me think of Your Son, Jesus Christ. For I will follow Him even to the point of suffering and death, confident in His resurrection and the eternal reward for those that do follow him in sincere belief.

Teach me the steadfastness of Your love, mighty Savior. Teach me Your humility, Your selflessness. Teach me to be a devoted servant of Yours, Lord.

Amen
