Today's Godly Reminder - Romans 12:9

Since the love of God to us is real and genuine, we must genuinely love others too. Loving others with pretension is wrong. Hate what is wrong. Cling to what is good by having real love for others.

By doing this, we are also spreading the genuine love of God to others. This is God wants: people will love Him and will come to Him and experience His greatness. Experiencing God is the best feeling that you will ever had.

The Daily Grace - God's Way is the Best Way

When was the last time that you felt frustrated in a certain situation? How do you feel when your plans fail? Do not be disappointed if your are frustrated over things and when your plans fail. For it is written, God's thoughts are higher than our thoughts, so our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9).

It is indeed a very comforting statement that God's thoughts are not our thoughts. It is because God is the best, so His ways and thoughts. He is perfect, so He thinks perfectly. If our plans fail, God has something best for us that cannot harm us. He wants us to prosper (Jer. 29:11).

It’s reassuring to know that the God, who is in control in everything, knows more than we know and has the best idea of what’s going on in our lives, world and future. It shows us also how smart our God is, smarter than all the minds in this world. No matter how far we accomplished and reached, God's way is still the best way. Even though we don’t understand everything about Him, that doesn’t prevent us from trusting His ways. He has proven a lot His love for us. Trusting that agape love, we can walk with Him even when life doesn’t make sense.

Today We Pray

Dear God, as I face another day, I know I am going to face many challenges: to my faith, to my patience, to my love for others. I am going to have constant temptations to lapse into sin. Come to me now, Lord, and stay with me all day.

Let Your Spirit encompass my mind. Let me know Your presence. Steer my hand, direct my words, guide my thoughts in everything I think and say and do.

I resolve to live this day as a beacon of Your glory, the best I can, with Your help. I commit myself to give this day to You. In the name of Christ, be with me and help me.

Amen

Today's Godly Reminder - Psalm 30:5

God gets angry once in a while, but across a lifetime there is only love. The nights of crying your eyes out give way to days of laughter. His anger is just for a moment only. But, His favor lasts for a lifetime.

We may cry for one night, but there is always joy after that weeping. God promises us joy. Just ask Him to restore the joy of your salvation. And, it will be given to you.

The Daily Grace - God's Time is the Best

Waiting is hard at any time; but when days, weeks, or even months pass and our prayers seem to go unanswered, it's easy to feel God has forgotten us. Perhaps we can struggle through the day with its distractions, but at night it's doubly difficult to deal with our anxious thoughts. Worries loom large, and the dark hours seem endless. Utter weariness makes it look impossible to face the new day.

The psalmist grew weary as he waited (Ps. 13:1). He felt abandoned - as if his enemies were gaining the upper hand (v.2). When we're waiting for God to resolve a difficult situation or to answer often-repeated prayers, it's easy to get discouraged. Satan whispers that God has forgotten us, and that things will never change. We may be tempted to give in to despair.

Why bother to read the Bible or to pray? Why make the effort to worship with fellow believers in Christ? But we need our spiritual lifelines most when we're waiting. They help us to hold us steady in the flow of God's love and to become sensitive to His Spirit. The psalmist had a remedy. He focused on all that he knew of God's love, reminding himself of past blessings and deliberately praising God, who would not forget Him, so can we. God is worth waiting for; His time is always best.

Today We Pray

Dear Jesus, thank You for this day. You are the Lover of my soul, who draws close in the darkest and longest night. Please keep me trusting You, talking to You, and leaning on Your promises.

Let me remember Your words when I see it, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Let me watch Your day unfold in silence, filled with a sense of Your presence in my life. Your glory fills my spirit and I want only to give thanks with my life this day.

I am filled with gratitude this day, that I could witness such a treasure and could feel it and see it as a gift from You. Thank you for your love. Today, let me carry a sense of how much You love me to send me such a gift.

Amen

Today's Godly Reminder - Psalm 33:20

This verse is about waiting expectantly. We wait, in hope, for the Lord. It is putting our trust in Him. It is because we are waiting for something that will really come.

It is also putting full dependence on God. Trusting Him that He will shield and protect us in our everyday lives. He will always there to help. And, putting our full faith in Him, too.
