Rip your heart in sorrow and contrition and not your garments. Return in repentance to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in loving kindness and faithful to His covenant with His people. And, He relents His sentence of evil when His people genuinely repent.
Change your life, not just your clothes. Come back to God, your God. And here’s why: God is kind and merciful. He takes a deep breath, puts up with a lot, this most patient God, extravagant in love, always ready to cancel catastrophe.
