Parents have different ways in raising up their children. They have different ways in disciplining their children, too. No matter how different they were, still, they should adhere to His principles. In bringing up their children, parents should not be hard on their children.
Parents should also raise them properly. How? It is by teaching them and instruct them about the Lord. Parents, especially the fathers, can have an especially powerful influence on their children. Paul urged them not to frustrate them to the point of anger, but to "bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord (Eph. 6:4).
It is a challenging task for any parent in raising their children in godliness. So, it's no coincidence that Paul urges us to "be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Eph. 6:10). Only through His strength can we reflect the love and patience of our Heavenly Father that we can also apply to our children. We teach our children far more from how we live than by what we say. So, be a good example to them by having a godly life, too.
Proverbs 22:9 "Train up a child the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it."
