"And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, 'This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me'."
We often here this statement when we partake the Lord's Supper. This is a reminder that every time we celebrate Lord's Supper in our respective churches, we are doing this in remembrance of the death of Jesus on the cross. Before He was crucified, He had a meeting with His disciples. He reminded His disciples about remembering Him. The bread symbolizes His body and the wine symbolizes His blood that He shed on the cross. As we partake the Lord's Supper this day, let us be reminded Jesus' love for us by dying on the cross to pay the price for our sins. Forgiveness is now possible because of His death.
