Even though this verse was said by Apostle Peter, this is still a great reminder for us that God will continually correct us. It is His way of disciplining us when we go astray. It may be harsh to you or hurting, but this is for our own good. He is showing His love when He disciplines us.
God will always be ready to remind you of His commands. Even though you already know them and are established in the truth, which is held firmly in your grasp. Because the stakes are so high, even though you’re up-to-date on all this truth and practice it inside and out. God is not going to let up for a minute in calling you to attention before it.
