God had a better plan for us: that their faith and our faith would come together to make one completed whole, their lives of faith not complete apart from ours. Because God had us in mind and had something better for us, we, men and women of authentic faith, would not be made perfect apart from us. If we are complete in Him, we have nothing to worry about. And he did not want them to reach the goal of their faith without us.
