The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit. Also, a broken and contrite heart. A heart and spirit that is broken with sorrow for sin, thoroughly penitent. God-worship is learned when our pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love don’t for a moment escape God’s notice. The way to please Him is to feel sorrow deep in our hearts, This is the kind of sacrifice He won’t refuse because this is an act of humbleness. He will not reject a broken and repentant heart.
