Through Christ, we have deliverance and salvation. In which, He paid the penalty and resulted in the forgiveness and complete pardon of our sin. This is in accordance with the generosity of His gracious favor. Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people—free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free!
So overflowing is His kindness toward us that He took away all our sins through the blood of His Son, by whom we are saved. Christ sacrificed His life’s blood to set us free, which means that our sins are now forgiven. He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins.
