The Daily Grace - Jesus is the Only Way

It is a very uncertain world we are living in. We do not know what is right and what is wrong. We stand at the crossroads of life not knowing which way to take. This uncertainty is very unnerving for the modern man whose one concern is to make life more secure. In the midst of this uncertainty Jesus declares "I am the Way."

Today We Pray

Dear God, I come to You this morning, full of hope that the day to come might be filled with joy and energy. Grant that I may do my work with a light and happy heart. If I face frustration today, let me handle it with acceptance and faith that the outcome is in Your hands.

Lead me away from anger or judgment of other people. Let me tend to my own garden instead of looking over the fence. If my neighbor's yard is filled with weeds, help me not to criticize, and keep me from envy of those whose tree bears more fruit.

Let everything I attempt be filled with the knowledge and guidance of Your Holy Spirit. I pray that the Spirit will be with me at every moment. Let me always be aware of Him, and live every moment of this day in Your presence.

Amen

Today's Godly Reminder - John 14:6

God is the only way to Heaven. No person can substitute Him, but only Him alone. We can only come to Him to receive eternal life. Through Him alone, not the others.

This is the real truth. And, this is the real life. Accept Him in your life. Believe and put your full faith in Him only.

The Daily Grace - Road to Eternity

Don't you know that the Lord had already prepared a place for us in Heaven? "There are many rooms in my Father’s House. I wouldn’t tell You this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you", says the Lord (John 14:2)

This is the road to eternity: have faith in the Lord and believe in His Name. "Don’t be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me", He said (John 14:1). Once we put our faith in Him, we are investing for eternity. He is our source of spiritual nourishment. He empowers us to live a life of integrity.

He is preparing our eternal home. His grace has provided our everlasting life and place in Heaven. Christ meets our needs now and for eternity. Walk that road. Invest for eternity.

Today We Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, who has filled the world with beauty, open my eyes to behold Your gracious hand in all your works. Let me rejoice in Your whole creation. Let me learn to serve You with gladness, faithfully managing Your bounty; for the sake of him by whom all things were made.

I thank You that You have answered me and have become my salvation. No matter how weak or lowly I may feel, I will always remember Your promising words. Let me be strong in faith and strong in Your Spirit.

I ask to be called as a witness to Your love by the love I extend to others. Let me be a lamp set on a hill, reflecting the light of Christ in my forgiveness, mercy and compassion. And, a harvester of souls through my humble and dedicated servanthood.

Amen.

Today's Godly Reminder - John 14:1-2

You must not worry about your life, so with your hearts. Do not let it be troubled with the things of this world. You must not be afraid, too. Instead, we must believe confidently in God and trust in Him, believe also in the Lord.

Have faith, hold on to it, rely on it and keep going. He also promised that He has prepared a place for us in Heaven. It is an amazing thing. We all know that Heaven is a very wonderful place. So, just believe, have faith and don't lose hope. Hold on to this promise by God.

The Daily Grace - Walk in His Way

How do you walk your life and talk? Are you walking carefully so that you will not stumble and fall? We must look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil. Like a climber, you must watch every step to make it safely to the top. This is also the same in our daily walk with the Lord.

If we are not careful, we have a tendency to fall in the middle of our journey. The keys to a successful journey are concentration and caution. Without these things, it will be a wreck. With all of life's possible dangers coming our way, it is vital that we take each step with Jesus wisely and cautiously.

Don't be like a fool who lives carelessly. Instead, be a wise person who watches each step so he does not stumble or fall. Walk carefully in love. Walk in a way that honors God. As we trust God to rule our hearts, our feet can walk His way.

Today We Pray

Dear Lord, thank You for another day that You have given to us. Thank You for the gift of life. Glory and praise to You for filling me with life to live another day.

I will spend this day in Your presence filled with Your joy and energy. Help me to accomplish Your will, Lord. Let me do what I can to deserve the joys of the day.

Make me an instrument of Your grace. Bless me and those who pray with me now, that although we cannot see or hear one another, we may be bonded in your Holy Spirit. Let us be as bricks in a great lighthouse to guide the entire world to You, to Your love and Your forgiveness.

Amen.

Today's Godly Reminder - Ephesians 5:15

Be careful on how you walk in your life. It must be carefully done. It should be living life with honor, purpose, and courage. Shun those who tolerate and enable evil.

Overall, wake wisely. Don't act like a fool. We are born to be wise. And, if you need wisdom, ask it from the Lord and He will surely give it to you (Jam. 1:15). Be a sensible, intelligent and discerning person. Please the Lord.

The Daily Grace - Press on Toward the Goal

What are your goals in life? Do you include God as you plan your goals? We must realize that God has a goal in each of our lives. It is the reason why we should include Him in our life goal setting.

It is important to realize that God is at progress in our lives. He has called us to do something. We are a part of His plan. He also does have a plan for your life. His plan will lead you to joy, fulfillment, contentment and eternal blessing that you can experience all the days of your lives.

So, press on toward the goal that Christ has called you. Someday, you will met Him face to face and will tell, "well done, my faithful one". If you just include Him throughout the planning, you will experience a life without any sense of regret or shame, because you are secured in Him. When setting a goal, we should also move on from the past or forget what lies behind. Yes, we cannot do it, but by God's grace, we can press forward and serve God faithfully today and in the future.

Today We Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for filling the earth with beauty. Open my eyes to behold Your gracious hand in all your works, rejoicing in Your whole creation. Help me to serve You with gladness, faithfully managing your blessing and grace.

I thank You that You have answered me and have become my salvation. No matter how weak or lowly I may feel, I will always remember Your sweet promising words. Let me be strong in faith and strong in Your Spirit.

Let me be a witness to Your love and share it to others. Let me be a light that shines in this world. And, let me be a harvester of souls through my humble and dedicated servanthood.

Amen.

Today's Godly Reminder - Philippians 3:13-14

Like a physical race, we should also win our spiritual race. How to win it? It is by forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. Reach forward for the future, especially your goals.

When you press on toward that goal, you will win the Heavenly Price. It is the price being called to Heaven. This is the prize that God offers because of what Christ Jesus has done. Press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

The Daily Grace - The Cleansing: As White As Snow

Like a snowfall, it will also relate to a spiritual truth. Just as that snow covered everything in sight, His grace covers our sins. But grace doesn't just cover it, it erases sin. God always makes the first move in this thing called salvation.

Although we sinned as hard as those Israelites, He is still willing to cleanse us as white as snow. Though are sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow (Isa. 1:18). When He made this promise, His children had a painful problem with sin. He compared them to a physical body plagued with unhealed wounds and sores.

No matter how bad they sinned, God was willing to extend His grace to them. Today, we have the same assurance. Sin may stain our lives, but when we repent and confess it, we have the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of God's grace (Eph. 1:7). The weight of sin is balanced only by the blood of Christ, with His unending love and amazing grace.

Today We Pray

Dear Lord, let me this day know You as You are. I want to love You supremely and admire You fully. Let me also serve You completely, Lord.

Give me courage to confess, to bare my sinful heart to Thee. Thank You for Your forgiving love You long to show. Thank You for the freedom from my sins.

I thank you that You have not destroyed me in my transgressions. But in Your love toward mankind, You have raised me up. As I lay in despair, let me glorify Your Majestic Name, forevermore.

Amen

Today's Godly Reminder - Isaiah 1:18

This is the promise of the Lord about sin. Human as we are, we really sin (Rom. 3:23). But, He will cleanse us from all of our sins. As white as now, He will make us pure again.

He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). This verse was written because of the terrible sins that Israelites did. God was very disappointed with them. But because of His great love to us, He is still faithful to cleanse as as white as snow.

The Daily Grace - Rely on His Strength

How can we have a positive outlook in life? As the child of God, we must understand that God is in control of everything. In every circumstances in life, trust in Him that He will take control of every situation that You will encounter. This will give us confidence to pursue opportunities that others might not have believed possible.

God made all of us the way we are for a reason. Whatever you're going through, it is a part of what you are going to do with your life. God causes everything to work for our own good. Whether it is a good thing or a bad thing, it is for a purpose (Rom. 8:28).

No matter what our strengths or weaknesses might be, God's providential hand can give us what we need to make a difference for Him in our world. Rely on His strength to help you as you take a step of faith. Be strengthened by His power, take courage. God's call to a task includes His strength to complete it.

Today We Pray

Dear Lord, I commit myself to Your care today, and throughout the week. Mold me in Your image. In everything that I say and do, let my mind be on the eternal goodness of Heaven rather than the vanities of earth.

I dedicate myself to Your holiness. I pray that You will be with me all the days of my life. I am heartily sorry that I have ever offended You, and I sincerely repent; with tears I humbly pray to you, O Lord.

Help me look to You for guidance and wisdom. Let me know the joyful feeling of having done something that pleased You. Let me never feel the pain of knowing I have disappointed You.

Amen

Today's Godly Reminder - Philippians 4:13

Always be reminded that God will give us strength to face anything. He will strengthen us where He has called us to do. It comes from Him who strengthens and empowers us. It is to fulfill His purpose for us.

We are self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency. Let us be ready for anything and equal to anything through Him. He infuses us with inner strength and confident peace everyday. Just ask Him for strength and He will grant it.

The Daily Grace - Learn to be Contented

What does contentment means? How do be contented? Contentment is derived from a Greek word that means to be self-sufficient or independent. It is an inner sense of rest or peace that comes from being right with God and knowing that He is in control of all that happens to us. It is having our focus on the kingdom of God and serving Him, not on the love of money and other things.

The secret for contentment in every situation is to focus on the Lord on His Sovereignty, as Savior, and as the Sufficient One. Contentment comes from focusing on the Lord as the Sovereign One to whom we must submit. It also comes from focusing on the Lord as the Savior whom we must serve. And, it comes from focusing on the Lord as the Sufficient One to whom we must trust with all of our hearts.

Learn to be contented with everything and in every circumstance. The secret of being contented is to be captivated by Christ. It is because He is everything. We can be complete in Christ. Once you trust in His Name, contentment will follow because you have nothing to worry about.

Today We Pray

Dear Lord, I come before You in a humble sense of my own unworthiness, confessing my many transgressions. I beseech you, in mercy, and forgive me for all my transgressions. Work in me a hearty repentance; that I may obtain forgiveness at Your hands.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight. Let Your Holy Spirit guide me in my prayer and in thought, and grant me the grace to listen and hear Your Word. Soften my heart, that I may be directed by your truth, and not the devices of my body and mind.

Direct our way unto You, Lord. Make us to increase and abound in love one toward another. May we establish our hearts unblameable in holiness before You.

Amen

Today's Godly Reminder - Philippians 4:11

Paul instructed us to one of his letters in Philippians to be contented with whatever circumstances we are in. He himself had suffered prison for how many years. And, God let him learn a lesson and realize about being contented. It is being self-sufficient through Christ, satisfied to the point where you are not disturbed or uneasy.

Contentment can also help you prioritize important things in life. It will also help you do be a good giver and responsible steward. Learn to be contented with everything that you have. It is really okay to ask something for the Lord. But first, He will let you practice contentment in everything.

The Daily Grace - Be a Fisher of Men

What does it really mean to be a fisher of men? Jesus promised us that He will teach us how to bring people instead of fish. At the beginning of Jesus' earthly ministry, He gathered a group around Him that would join Him in the kingdom task of rescuing the treasure of lost souls from our enemy, Satan. When He called them, He said "follow me" (Matt. 4:19).

For them, following Jesus would mean a radical transition from catching fish to the enterprise of being fishers of men and women who were lost in the grip of sin. But the task would not always be easy. Jesus referred to the quest as taking up our cross to follow Him. It means that we should forget about ourselves and follow the will of Christ for us.

Be a fisher of men. Go and make disciples of all nations. Reach out to the lost. Proclaim the salvation and love of Christ to the world.

Today We Pray

Dear Lord, I give my love to You without reservation. I will love You unconditionally all the days of my love because You loved me, too. Thank You for Your agape and unending love, Lord.

In the face of intimidation and fear when seeking to engage others with the gospel, remind me that they are Your lost treasures. I count it a privilege to follow You into other’s lives. I want to tell the Good News to others so that they will love You, too.

With all my heart, I desire to submit to Your will. Let my condition be always blessed. Make Your home with me, that I might be truly blessed.

Amen.

Today's Godly Reminder - Matthew 4:19

This verse also talks about the Great Commission, which is "go and make disciples" (Matt. 28:18). God also talks about discipleship here, but in different analogy. He compared it to a fisherman. For us to disciple and win souls for Christ, He will teach us to catch men instead of fishes.

How to be a fisher of men? Believe in Him, accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior. Also, walk the same path of life that He walk. Have a character like Jesus so that people will also see Him in you as you minister to them.

The Daily Grace - There is Blessing in Every Failure

How do you respond to failures? What do you do after you fail? Sometimes, like an inventor, we followers of Jesus Christ may also find ourselves frozen in fear after a failure in our personal lives. We are unsure on how to pick up the pieces and move on. We might even spend our remaining time, waiting for a big idea or action that can help us recover from a previous failure.

Do not forget that Jesus has already done that on our behalf. He covered our shame. And, He set us free to fellowship with God and serve Him daily. It is because He gave His life, and rose again. When we fall, we can arise with Him, for He delights in mercy.

The moment we find Jesus, our eternity with Him begins. He walks alongside us so He can change us into the people we long to be. We are created to be like Him. Look up from your failure, and you'll find God standing ready to receive you. Remember, there is blessing in every failure you encounter. Trust in Him always.

Today We Pray

Dear God, cause me to live everyday as if it were to be my last, for I cannot know that it is not. Help me to live this day as I shall wish I had done when I come to die. Grant me Your divine grace, everyday.

My actions aren’t adequate to fix my failures. Thank You for doing that through Your Son Jesus who gave Himself for us. Help me to look up and walk with You.

Seek me out and bring me home to Your fold again. Deal favorably with me according to Your good pleasure, until I may dwell in your house all the days of my life. And praise You forever and ever with them that are there.

Amen

Today's Godly Reminder - Micah 7:9

All of us had sinned. There is no exemption to every human. When you sin and time came that God is disciplining you, do not be disappointed. He is just molding you and testing you to become a better person.

You will see the light and His righteousness if you let Him discipline you. It may be a tough one, but take heart, you will overcome those trials and tests. Amazing things will come after your darkest hour. He will let the light shine in you.

The Daily Grace - Be Satisfied in Christ

There are only two ways to live your life abundantly. The first one is, you can pursue this world for satisfaction. Or, you can seek after God to satisfy. The world, under the rule of the enemy, will just rob, kill, and destroy your life and soul. Jesus, the Savior of all, offers life more abundantly than others.

Engaging yourselves into worldly acts and its sinful pleasures is like that. At first, it tastes good, but it’s really destroying your whole being. Only Jesus ultimately satisfies the soul. Only Jesus can reconcile you to God and give you real life, an abundant life, a life that begins now and continues through all eternity.

Be satisfied in Christ. He is all you wanted and all you needed in this life that He has given. Be complete in Him. You will lack nothing if you will satisfy and drown yourself in His love. It is really an abundant life that is more than you can ask for.

Today We Pray

Dear Lord, let Your Word richly dwell within me all this day. May I not forget the strength that comforted me in the desolation of other times. Spare me from bitterness and from the sharp passions of unguarded moments.

Teach me still to be thankful for life, and for time's olden memories that are good and sweet. Help me to have courage amid the turmoils of the changing years. Let me not follow the demands of the world, but walk calmly in Your path.

Thank You, Father, for the peace of mind that comes from knowing You are standing watch over the events of our lives. Help us to rest securely in Your presence. And whatever I do in word or deed, may I do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Amen.

Today's Godly Reminder - John 10:10

God came here on earth to give us eternal life. He wants us to enjoy this life that He had given to us. He wants us to have our life in abundance. Do not let the enemy steal, kill and destroy your God-given life. Rebuke him in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

Live life to the fullest. Enjoy the overflowing blessings that He has given. Do not make room for the enemy. He is like a thief who destroys and steals your life. Crush the enemy under your feet. Have that rich and satisfying life that only comes from the Lord.

The Daily Grace - Be Strong in the Lord

When we're in the middle of suffering, or when doubts start threatening our faith, what are our anchors? Where do we go to first or what do we do first? Whenever we feel odd, go to God first. Like the story of Joshua when he is in the middle of suffering, He said to him that He will always be with him and help him. God will do the same to us like what he did to Joshua.

He promised us that He will be with us wherever we will go. We need to be strong in His Name. Like the strength of an anchor, we cannot feel the stress of the storms in our lives. It is because an anchor is very strong and cannot be moved right away. He is our Anchor that keeps our spirit steadfast and sure while the billows roll.

Let us fasten to the Rock and Anchor which cannot be moved. Be grounded and firm in His love. Be strong in the Lord and take good courage. We need Him, the Anchor, to hold us secure in our spiritual storms. Although our faith may feel weak, if it's anchored in God's promises and presence, He will safely hold us.

Today We Pray

Dear Lord, as I rejoice in the gift of this new day, may the light of Your presence fill me with love for you and my fellow man. Defend me this day against all the instincts that tempt me away from love of my fellow man. Let me put aside every sort of prejudice and bias against other people who are different from me.

Let me accept others for who they are. Let me know that they are Your creatures, and that You love them just as You love me. Let me not be stingy with my affection or my support of others out of jealousy, or greed, or pridefulness; but look upon the work of others, and their well-being, as I look upon my own.

I am weak, Lord, and I often stumble and let myself lapse into irritation or anger at others; but through your Holy Spirit, all things are possible. And, I ask that today you be with me at every moment, and fill me with the capacity for love that only your Spirit can bring to me. In the name of my Lord Christ I ask this.

Amen.

Today's Godly Reminder - Joshua 1:9

It is His command to be strong and courageous. We should not be afraid. We should never be discouraged. It is because He is always beside us.

Remember the Lord your God when you are afraid or discouraged. Do not be terrified or be dismayed. He will always welcome you with His loving arms. Wherever you will go, He will be there.

The Daily Grace - Disappointment: His Appointment

What do you feel when you are disappointed? How do you react to it? We may be disappointed with our failed plans or in a failed situation. But, He is constantly reminding us to trust in His Name when things fail.

In some situations, failures can be delayed successes. His timings are just perfect for You. Remember, He never fails. He causes everything to work at the right time and for your own good.

Sometimes, our disappointments can be God's appointment. He do not withhold good things. He releases blessings and grace right away, if you just believe in His name. The next time you feel any disappointments, look for God's purpose in it. It is just a test of faith and character molding.

Today We Pray

Dear Lord, be with me this day. Purify us from all unrighteousness. Sustain us from all of our needs.

Always lead us to the right path, Lord. I know You are always there before us to guide us and protect us. May Your Words and Your goodness guide my every thought.

Help me to straighten out my mind and life. Lead me, Lord, and let your Holy Spirit guide me. Help me to keep my mind open to the truth, as always.

Amen.

Today's Godly Reminder - Psalm 33:11

As always, His plans will always prevail. It is as strong as the building's foundation, or more than that. It will not be shaken and moved. It is because God is always there for You, the Mighty One.

His counsel will stand forever. It will not be gone. It is always there. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is always good in your lives.

The Daily Grace - His Throne is Always Accessible

Like the air that we breathe everyday, we need also to have that spiritual air inside us. For us to stay alive, let that spiritual air be present. We should have the access to good things for us to breathe it. What are the good things that we need to do in order for us to be alive?

By praying, worshiping, demonstrating His love to others, these are the ways to stay alive. All these things too have an access to God's Throne. His Throne is always accessible to His children. If you lack spiritual air, God can provide it. His Holy Presence will live in us.

God created the world that's visible to us. He actively sustains it and has made a way for us to approach Him, the invisible and only wise God. All our actions take place in the visible world, which we can touch, smell and see. Yet, God has provided a way for us to breathe the spiritual air we need and crave.

Today We Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, I declare that I do not fear this day, for you are with me wherever I will go. Your light will shine and your footsteps will lead me the way. Your word will be my guide, Your strength will sustain me and Your love revive me.

Direct our plans according to what is good and pleasing in Your sight. I will let go of concerns and worries that may be dragging me down at this present moment. I place any concerns I have in Your hands.

Help me to think about excellent things, Lord. I will give my all for Your glory and honor. Help me to be at peace with all things.

Amen.

Today's Godly Reminder - Colossians 1:16

All that you see in this earth were created by Him. Everything! Whether it is invisible or visible, it is the work of the Lord. Whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created and exist through Him. It is His great activity.

It is all for Him. It is all about Jesus. It is giving praise to His Name. Praise Him for His wonderful creations!

The Daily Grace - Seek Wise Counsel

Once a famous theologian asked, "Who is so wise as to have perfect knowledge of all things?". We should not trust too much at our own opinion. But, always be ready to here the opinions of others. It is vital to seek the opinions of trusted advisors when making plans for your lives.

You should open up to several avenues of counsel. With the help of God in leading you to the right persons, He will bring you His guiding wisdom. We need good advises to determine His course for our lives. When we seek wise counsel of others, we are showing our realizations that we might be overlooking some important factors in our decisions.

Most importantly, the Lord is our Wonderful Counselor above all. He desires to protect us through wise advisors. Seek them out and thank God for them. Let those trusted persons help you discover a clearer picture of His plan for your life.

Today We Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for always being there for me. I know with certainty there were times when You carried me, Lord. It was through Your strength I got through the dark times in my life.

Take away from me my sins, Lord. Also, take away from me the heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh. Give me heart to love, adore, delight You more.

Help me to follow You always. Let me enjoy in Your presence. Let me behave with prudence to ensure my eternal future with You, Lord.

Amen.

Today's Godly Reminder - Proverbs 15:22

Always ask for an advice from your trusted friends and trusted persons when life gets tough. It is because without consultation and wise advice, plans will just be frustrated. If in doubt, consult first. Do not let your plans or decisions fail by lack of advice.

But, if you are surrounded with many counselors, plans will be established and succeed. There is nothing wrong in asking questions. If there is no counsel, purposes are frustrated. But with many counselors, they are indeed accomplished.

The Daily Grace - Tear Down the Conflicts

How do you handle conflicts? How do you deal with your anger or temper? A person who operates out of wrath stirs up conflicts. We should never get into severe conflicts in our church or in our lives. Conflicts are normal, but we should never give in. We must learn how to handle it.

Trouble begins when people are not working in unity but seek to bring conflicts. But by practicing careful actions, it can be avoided. Conflict comes by the answer and action we give to people and by the way they are treated by others. How you converse to people can be the key to peace in your surroundings.

Hatred stirs up strife by anger; but love covers all the offences and sins that occur among men (Prov. 10:12; 1 Pet 4:8). Jesus gave the ultimate example of being slow to anger during his outrageous trial and crucifixion (1 Pet 2:19-23; Mark 15:5). Be like Jesus! Tear down the conflicts. Do not let it arise, let love arise, instead.
