Your trials are only to test your faith, to see whether or not it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests gold and purifies it. And, your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So, if your faith remains strong after being tried in the test tube of fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day of his return.
These trials will show that your faith is genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it’s your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory. Your faith will be like gold that has been tested in a fire. And these trials will prove that your faith is worth much more than gold that can be destroyed. They will show that you will be given praise and honor and glory when Jesus Christ returns. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
