Always unselfishly seeking the best for one another. See that you love one another from the heart. Since by your obedience to the truth, you have purified yourselves for a sincere love of the believers. You can have real love for everyone because your souls have been cleansed from selfishness and hatred when you trusted Christ to save you. So, see to it that you really do love each other warmly, with all your hearts.
Now that you’ve cleaned up your lives by following the truth, love one another as if your lives depended on it. You obeyed the truth, and your souls were made pure. Now you sincerely love each other. But you must keep on loving with all your heart. You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart.
