Let everyone be a careful and thoughtful listener, a speaker of carefully chosen words and patient, reflective and forgiving. Understand this, my beloved brethren. Lead with your ears, follow up with your tongue, and let anger straggle along in the rear. God’s righteousness doesn’t grow from human anger.
Don’t ever forget that it is best to listen much, speak little, and not become angry. This is how we can practice patience in dealing with others. Take care of your character. Your reputation should be good for the people around you by practicing these things.
