Do not practice your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of partiality toward people. Show no favoritism, no prejudice and no snobbery. Don’t let public opinion influence how you live out our glorious, Christ-originated faith. If you have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, you won’t treat some people better than others.
This is a warning against prejudice. How can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others? Believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. Do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. This is the royal rule of love.
